The 45th Presidential Inauguration and The Women's March

Living in the National's Capital has its many perks, from being able to go to the monuments at any given moment, to interning on the hill and getting your foot in the political door, to experiencing history as the 45th President of the United States of America gets elected into office and then the following day thousands of people coming together to march for the rights of those they feel need a voice in society today. Over the weekend many sisters and alumni got to witness history not only on Friday but on Saturday as well.  Before the Inauguration Began Sister Maddie at the Inauguration We loved seeing so many sisters truly stand for what they believe and make a stand for themselves and others. I remember my first inauguration and its truly something so inspiring to see, the peaceful handoff of power from one president to the next. Whether you agree with the new president or not, I think we all can agree that living in a country where freedom of speech and democracy run
