The 45th Presidential Inauguration and The Women's March

Living in the National's Capital has its many perks, from being able to go to the monuments at any given moment, to interning on the hill and getting your foot in the political door, to experiencing history as the 45th President of the United States of America gets elected into office and then the following day thousands of people coming together to march for the rights of those they feel need a voice in society today. Over the weekend many sisters and alumni got to witness history not only on Friday but on Saturday as well.

We loved seeing so many sisters truly stand for what they believe and make a stand for themselves and others. I remember my first inauguration and its truly something so inspiring to see, the peaceful handoff of power from one president to the next. Whether you agree with the new president or not, I think we all can agree that living in a country where freedom of speech and democracy run free, its a pretty great feeling to know that the power of the people really does run the world.

Witnessing history on Saturday as thousands of people came out not only in Washington, but all over the country to stand in solidarity with those they feel need a voice in society, was truly amazing. the peaceful protest, and freedom of speech was something I know many will never forget.

Welcome to the Class of Fall '17

This past fall Kappa Tau Gamma welcomed 17 new girls into the sisterhood!  Fall Recruitment Chair Leilani organized a Jungle themed recruitment with events such as speed dating, cupcake mingle, day at the zoo, ice cream social, and mocktails! Also, shout out to our PNM Educator for the fall, Britany, who helped the girls become sisters. Thanks to the tremendous help of Britany and the rest of KTG, we were able to grow almost 50% this Spring.  All the sisters are very excited to see what the rest of Spring 2018 holds for us!

Kappa Tau Gamma

On October 7th, 1953, Kappa Tau Gamma, Sorority was established at  The Catholic University of America. The sisters of KTG celebrate 60 years  of providing a close union through the bonds of  friendship as a social-service sorority. ♥  Happy 60th Anniversary to all current and alumni sisters of KTΓ! ♥ We, as Sisters of Kappa Tau Gamma, believe in a closer union through the bonds of friendship. Appreciating the benefits to be derived from a social-service sorority and feeling that in union there is strength, thereby form ourselves into an association not only for the enjoyment of the good things in life which God has given us, but beyond this, for His service and His greater glory. Additionally, we strive for the development of nobler qualities of the mind and greater spirituality of the soul and for mutual helpfulness in attainment of individual and social excellence.Through our talents and qualities, we shall promote and deliver critical services to people...
