Emma Dodson Fall '12- Satellite Sister in London Hello and greetings from London! I have been abroad for nearly 2 months now, and it's crazy how fast the experience is going by. Though I miss CUA and my KTG sisters, studying abroad in London and getting to travel around Europe has been incredible. I am balancing a full load of classes at St. Mary's University London with lots of travel. Thus far, I have visited Paris, Normandy, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Belgium, with a lot more trips on the horizon! I'm grateful for the chance to see and do so much.  For any younger sister looking to go abroad, I'd say GO FOR IT!! You'll need a strong sense of self and lots of confidence, which is something being a KTG sister and the Fall '14 PNM Educator taught me. I would also say to do your homework, and scope out the budget-friendly airlines and hostels, where you'll meet lots of other like-minded students traveling through Europe. The people I've met ...

As my four years at Catholic are coming to an end, I begin to reflect on my time here and I have realized that a big part of who I was in college was determined by KTG. I remember coming out for recruitment my first semester freshman year. I was so nervous and so excited. As I went through the process, I didn't realize it then, but I was making friendships that would last all four years and hopefully well beyond college. After becoming a sister, I tried so hard to get a position. However, it wasn't until spring semester sophomore year that I was voted in as service chair. I planned various events and was the team captain for our Relay for Life team. At the beginning of the fall semester, the position of PNM educator opened up. I was nominated and voted in. It was one of the happiest moments of my KTG career. I was so excited and determined to be the best PNM educator I could be. That semester was one of the most stressful and rewarding semesters. I was so proud of m...

PNM Fall 2014 Class President, looking back: It’s the first week of my first year of college, I’m gathering with a group of women that I have never met, and they are all talking about bows and Lilly Pulitzer. This group is called Kappa Tau Gamma.  As I am surrounded by what seems like a million girls all saying where they are from and what their major is, I think to myself, “what even is this so called Kappa Tau Gamma?”  Two and half months later, I know what that so called Kappa Tau Gamma is.   It is home.   It is a place where you feel so familiar that when something isn’t about KTG, you feel like you don’t belong.   After dedicating a semester almost solely to Kappa Tau Gamma, becoming a sister was the most amazing feeling.   The bond that was created between fifteen girls over the course of the weeks that we spent being each other’s biggest supporters, is one that will forever be in my heart.   It was the greatest joy watching fourte...
